Bad News
This event was very unfortunate and I do not understand how someone could kill somebody they love or loved like that. I think that the reason that this was such a spectacle was that Arias was changing her mind back and forth every day. She was very indecisive and had a new crazy story to bring up that had nothing to really do with the case. I think that she was seeking out attention. She really made a big scene in the courtroom like it was all about her. SHE MURDERED SOMEONE! I am not quite sure why they did not just convict her right away if they had DNA evidence. The only thing I could honestly think of is how society thrives on bad news, violence, and sex. So this seemed to catch the attention of many, when in all reality it could have lasted a week at the most. Sure she said a lot of off the wall things, but society flocking to the television to watch this disturbing event made her kind of a celebrity I think it is sick that she received any attention. The jury even allowed her to have interviews. She supposedly tried to sell her glasses that she wore in the courtroom with a starting bid of 500 dollars. I think it is sad and awful that received a lot of attention for this. I understand that it is odd that a woman killed someone because it usually the opposite role. However, I think it does not matter what you look like, gender, or race. We are all equal, so we should be treated as equal in these settings as well. I think that she absolutely deserved the death penalty. Anyone else would have received it for walking around and changing the story so much. It is like rewarding a criminal, so of course she will continue to do and say crazy things if we let it continue. I think that it also makes it hard for those who need to grief for Travis.
