I think that Jodi Arias trial became such a spectacle
story because it was a very unusual case. Our society is used to man being a
serious killer or having the motive of committing such crime. It was a shocking news to everyone, which
cause this case to become so popular. Most people who were following this case
were most interested in knowing her motive of the crime. Women are presented by
society as the victim’s crimes and a soft hearted people. The crime scene is
another contributing factor that cause this case to become so popular. No one
expected a female like her age and size to be so creative with murder scene. We
all wanted to believe that she was innocent and was frame therefore she won’t
be convicted. Another interesting thing
about the case was that she kept changing her story about the murder. At first
she told police that she was not in town the day of the murdered. Her next
story was that someone broke into the house and kill her ex and they were
looking for her. Her final story was admitting that she killed him because of violence
in their relationship. With her change in her stories many people were interested
in knowing what the judge decision would have been.
I think if Jodi didn't change her story a billion times, she could've gotten away with some things. She was obviously lying and hiding something and even if she was being abused, she should've just immediately told that story. I know that if I was being accused of a murder, I would immediately tell them that he was abusing me if it meant a death sentence. I wouldn't dilly dally with stories and it's not like he could come back to life and get back at me for telling people about the abuse. Her story skyrocketed and one of the main reasons was because of her insane way of telling stories.
