Women murder people every day. Not only do men do these heartless and cruel things to other people but so do women! However, it is not nearly as common for women to commit a murder and this is one of the many reasons why the crime done by Jodi Arias was so popular among the media and public. Yes, she is a female and yes she is a heartless and insane one. Her story (or multiple stories) is what captured the public's eye and the way she delivered herself made us also insane. We went crazy over Jodi and her awful crime and every major news station was focused on her trial. Jodi was thriving in this attention and her being a woman made it even easier for her. She created the not so perfect yet perfect crime. She had multiple alibis which made it not-so-perfect but she was the sweet and innocent looking crazy woman who made it perfect for the media latch on. The story had everything that everyone loves; love, sex, crime, drama, and a crazy lady. Of course the public is going to go crazy over her story! Having the story constantly available and rolling, it was hard to miss the juiciest part of her story.
I believe the media is at fault for this story getting so out of hand and popular. If the media didn't see this as such of a great story and if they weren't so greedy to get all the views, then this story wouldn't have been so popular and Jodi wouldn't have anything to thrive and bask in. Because the media saw that she was not only a woman, but that her story involved drama, sex, and crime they thought it was absolutely perfect. They latched onto it and didn't let it go until everyone fell for it. Not only was Jodi starving for attention but also the media.
I agree 100%, the media made a criminal into a superstar. This woman is just another low life murderer and news stations just ate this up. Everything is just about making a quick buck and this was the perfect opportunity. You'd think the justice system would want to keep this a little more discreet somehow.
