Love Hate Crime

I honestly do not remember this case, but I wished I did because this was a good story. I have read the article and watched some of the trial videos. I believe that Travis Alexander was killed because his ex-girlfriend was upset that they had broken up and that he moved on. The media was probably going crazy over this case. A pretty women who had so much anger built up that she murdered her ex-boyfriend. The media will do anything to cover a juicy story. Deaths that happen daily do not get this much media coverage. The prosecutor tried to make Arias seem like a crazy person although I believe she was he did a great job explaining his side. He brought up facts of her stalking him and doing other crazy things to get to him. I believe that this story also went big because she was a very sexually person and probably would catch the eye of many viewers. The juries were deadlock on their decision and I believe that it was because she was pretty to some of the juries and some other did not believe the bull**** stories that changed on a daily. Media goes crazy for a story that they believe that they can make money off of or twist stories around to make it even juicer. I think that When Arias kept changing her stories of what she believed happened made people more interested because she could not recall where she was the day he was killed. The media also jumped at the fact that Jodi Arias story should become a movie, and that they did a movie was then made by Lifetime Network. I believe that other stations would have loved to think of the idea first because they knew that something like this people would watch, anything to make a couple extra dollars.I believe that Jodi Arias loved all the fame she was getting because of the murder, she changed her stories so many times and wanted people to be sympathetic to her for things that may have never happened.

  1. People watch incredible things such as someone getting killed and it being based on a true story becomes popular than the rest. Movies and TV shows get popular from murder, disasters, and sex. They show what happens or that could happen to the public and the public eats it up. It's very sad what we watch for entertainment but we watch it all the time. I enjoyed great detail and how you thought the trial is and they completely agree how you felt about the media.

  2. Sadye,
I also agree with you that Jodie was upset that her former boyfriend had moved on without her. Love makes people do crazy, unimaginable things. You hear sometimes in the news where there are some people who are "super-mother's" who happened to lift up a car to save her child who was stuck underneath it. Unfortunately, sometimes the unimaginable things aren't also wonderful. I think the main question everyone asks themselves is, "how could someone kill someone they love?". This trial was also so debatable and I think the more people put in their opinion about the case, the more others got involved too.
