In McCarthyism, the slightist diffence will have you viewed as a terrorist in some sort of ways. The perfect example of this was after 9/11 Muslims were not just viewed in the same manner as the were before the incident and foreigners were viewed by the public as they didn't belong in most cases based on appearance. Even though the Muslim community has helped out in America they were viewed indifferently after what one group of terrorist who just so happen to have the same religion. In this case it was actual hate crimes and things done to muslim americans which in no way possible could be justified. The Boston Marathon bombing was another instance that kind of turned the people against some of the muslim people in america and started i hint of bad blood between americans and people who domesticated here from other countries such as pakistan.
