Curiosity drives so much of our society.  For example, the tabloids always put the teasers on the front page to sell their magazines.  When you are standing in the grocery store line waiting for your turn to check out there is nothing to do except look at all of those teasers.  You become curious and decide to buy the magazine so you can find out more information.  I know that they always peak my interest and curiosity and I buy them.  Another thing that uses this tactic are online tabloids.  They are very savvy about getting you interested and pulling you in to look at their postings.  It's human nature to be curious and advertisers make lots of money because we are so curious that we subscribe so we can read all of the information.
Another way we satisfy our curiosity is on social media.  We check our social media sites several times a day because we are curious about what everyone is doing.  Curiosity can also drive some addictions to social media.  People get so involved in others stories that they are always checking in on them, becoming involved in their stories.  Curiosity is something that drives a lot of things and can make the people that manipulate it very rich.
