Brave and Alone

Ree is an incredible young teen trying to help her sick mother and her two younger siblings. Teaching her siblings how to survive to hunting, education, cooking, and so much more. Ree is handling taking care of her family well her father is running away from the law. When Ree finds out that she might lose everything if the police don’t find her father she starts to panic. It was getting cold her mother is very ill and her siblings wouldn’t make it long. With lots of nerves she goes around her neighborhood asking about her meth father that left them. How hard she tries to get anyone to help her even her father's little bother teardrop nothing cracks between the lies and secrets that they all have together. After walking all around to find any information she can about her own fathers whereabouts all she gets is warnings to drop it all. Ree is aware that her father is probably not alive anymore but all she needs is proof to get the law of her back so she can keep the home for her family to live because they are barely have anything right now.  After getting nothing once with asking she goes back to the Milton's which she was warned not to do so. When Ree gets their the sisters beats her because she needs to drop the conversation about her father at once. Teardrop surprisingly shows up to save Ree and tells her not to tell him anything if she finds out. Later on the Milton sisters show up helping Ree by showing her father's body and letting her take his hands to the police so her family will be safe. The family gets to keep the home for the sick mother and the two young siblings because of Ree's brave courage of standing alone asking for help just because her father made mistakes when he was alive. At the end Teardrop finds out who killed his brother and leaves the banjo with the kids. It never states that Teardrop did anything but we all know that he did. Ree tells her siblings that she will never leave them and what she did I feel she showed them with action of love that she would do anything for them even if it met that she would die for them. This movie just shows you how much family really means regardless how old you are. Winter's Bone was an eye opener for me about being brave even if you are standing alone and nobody is helping you, you fight!
