In
the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, there is a scene where Harry and Ron meet Hermione Granger for the
first time. The first thing I notice is that she is bold and has confidence.
She is asking everyone if they had seen this toad. Then right away she saw that
Ron is about to do magic, so she started talking to them like she knew Harry
and Ron already. She does not think Ron really knows magic and right off the
back she said his magic was not the best. She tells them how she read all the
books and remembers everything she needs to know. After all that she then
introduces herself. The first couple of words that I picked up on were bossy
and fast and they both descried her voice.
After reading this
passage and gathering all my evidence I feel like she is a true extrovert just
because she is very quick in her words, does not care what anyone thinks, and
is also very talkative. She comes to me as someone who is smart and arrogant.
She reads ahead and remembers all the materials and because she did that it
seems like she thinks she knows everything better than anyone else. She even
thinks she knows everything about Harry because she read books where he was in
and Harry did not even know he was in. when the passage said she was talking
bossy and fast it made me realize even more that she was arrogant and smart
because she basically knew what she was talking about and knew exactly what to
say.
Krystal,
ReplyDeleteHermione’s boldness and confidence helps her greatly in acquiring knowledge. Her personality traits helps to put her ahead of most academically. She makes sure to know all the material before class starts and is eager to raise her hand for any questions, which can make her seem arrogant. Although she is very smart and extroverted, I do think she cares what people think because she was hurt by a few choice words from Ron with her ending up in the bathroom crying. Aside from that, it can be easy for her to gain knowledge because of how she goes above and beyond.
