The hat of sorts, sorting by feeling

The sorting hat is a different type of character that was presented in Harry Potter. When all the students first arrive at Hogwarts, they must be sorted by the sorting hat into their house parties. I find the knowledge of the sorting hat extremely interesting. There were some instances where the hat was able to choose right way without any hesitation, then other times the hat was unsure. This specific hat used patience and intuition as knowledge throughout the sorting ceremony. The hat knew all there was to know about each house within Hogwarts and converted that knowledge into decision making for each and every student individually by the way the student felt or even acted when being sorted. It also took into account the way the students wanted to be sorted and whether or not their personality or type would fit in to that specific house. Without the hat being patient, intuitive, and prepared, it would not be able to sort the students in the mannerly fashion that it did. I do understand that this is a magical hat, but I believe that J.K. Rowling was making a point about how each of these characteristics can translate into knowledge.

  1. I think the fact that you chose the Sorting Hat as a knowledgeable character is incredibly interesting. Most people do not regard the Hat even as a character, despite its appearance in more than one of the books. The Sorting Hat holds great knowledge of the past and present states of Hogwarts. It even seems to have some inclination of knowing the future of the school. The hat expresses its character as patient, intuitive, and prepared by the careful sorting of students, and I think you share that very well!

  3. I love the fact the you took a different road for this post. Instead of picking the same characters others and myself picked you stepped outside of the box. This shows that you , yourself is very intelligent and think deeper than what others do. The hat characteristics you chose were right on the nose you explained some of them that I myself have not paid attention to.
