Should NASA be held accountable to
what they are researching by the American public? I think that every division of the Government
needs to be accountable to the American public to a degree. We, as Americans, have the right to know and
influence where our tax dollars are flowing.
NASA just like every other Government Agency only exists to serve the
American people. With that being said, should
NASA study sex in space? There are many
things that come to my mind when this question is asked. First, is the ability to have sex in space an
issue that currently needs to be studied?
Next, is this topic where we need to currently channel funds? Finally, what are the benefits of having
answers to this question?
I think that this topic needs to be
studied however, I don’t think that now is the time. Eventually we will need to be able to expand
our living area and move into space. Many
generations from now, if our population continues to grow, this will be a very
important topic. Our Government is
currently over 17 trillion dollars in debt.
There are plenty of other areas that could use the funds that would be
needed for this research. There are
benefits to this topic. Where ever
humans go sex will surely follow. It is
a natural and life sustaining act. We do
need to know if it is possible not just to have sex in space but to give birth
in space.
The end result is that NASA should
be accountable to the American public for where their funds are being
directed. It is important that the
ability to have sex in space be studied however, I don’t think that is currently
on the top of the list of needs.
