Consequences of not acknowledging the studies of sex in space

I thought this is a very important question to consider went thinking about life in space. We all know that where life exist, the thought of having sex is bound to happen. Sex is a nature part of human existing. From generation to generation the general aspect of having sex remains the same, though people many have a slightly different view on age appropriate. This is a difficult question to answer because there is not a single answer that would lead us to an easy solution.
Yes, I believe that space program should be held accountable to public opinion since we are the one paying for all the expensive. We have the right to voice our opinion on how our taxes are being spend. However, If this is the only reason that public opinion should matter about studies of sex in space, than space program should not be held accountable for public opinion. If the public are interesting in knowing if life would exist in space they should also be considering the possibilities of sex in space. How can you support the studies of life in space but refuses to consider the idea of sex in space? It makes no sense to me for two reason. One, if the studies of sex is unknown there is a huge risk on fetus development. Two, what if sex is not possible to happen in space? Have you thought of who will become the next generation to live in space? No sex in space means no children which leads to human “extinction” (is the end of an organism or of a group of organisms). What would it benefit us 100 years down the line of living in space if extinction occurs? This means that we spend years of wasting money and resources.

  1. This was exactly my reasoning, as well. If we are spending all this time developing ways for humans to live on Mars, we should probably know if life can be sustained once we get there. It seems like that would have been one of the first questions NASA asked before spending time and resources on building designs and all-terrain vehicles. If reproduction ends up not being a possibility a lot of time and money will have been wasted on Mars prototypes.

  2. Rather than not finding out answers for the human kind to know if generations have a future in the years to come we need to do the studies in space. The people that are doing this are thinking about the generations to come and what we need to do to survive longer than anything before. Being able to answer the questions that most are thinking and being afraid of the outcome we need to be able to understand that reproducing a child in space could happen or it might not. Being able to study this with animals before risking a chance with a newborn is good I feel to make sure that all organisms could possible be able to live somewhere else rather than just earth alone. We deserve to know for our kids and their kids there will be something for them more than nothing at all.
