Curiosity is the act of wanting to know and learn about
something that is unusual to us. I like to consider myself rather curious about
many different topics. Curiosity is more of a way of handling new situations
rather than something that we think about. It comes natural to us to be curious
in certain situations. There are some people who become more curious about
certain things than other people and vice versa. When people are curious, it
assists them in learning new things about themselves and situations. It has
influenced civilization in many ways. We are able to tell if something is going
to be good for us or if it will be bad in the long wrong. We would not be able
to figure that out without being curious. Without curiosity, we also would not
have the technology that we have today. Someone had to be curious about how
technology works before they sat down and decided to create all of these
advances that we now have. It can also be bad for others too. The saying used, “curiosity
killed the cat” supports that statement. If we are overly curious about
something, we may become so fixed on that topic that we do not pay attention to
the actual facts and could get ourselves in trouble. When it comes to space
travel, I think that being curious can help us now and in the future to
understand what is out there in the world. I do not think that we will ever
fully understand the universe, but for those who are curious about it, I think
they will be able to come up with some extremely interesting things for the
future. Curiosity is an important aspect of life. Without it, we would stay
idle and never move forward in any advances.
Curiosity is a big part of this of “wanting to know and learning things” like you said. We need to be curious to be able to be creative so that we can make the progresses that we have been and make better, stronger, and helpful technology for our generations to come. Without being able to create what we need to survive our generations to come might not have a chance to strive or live like we do today.
ReplyDeleteCuriosity has lead to many technological advances and your right, we wouldn't have certain things today if nobody sat down and pondered different ideas. I feel like humans are a daring species that always yearns to know more about their surroundings. Curiosity may kill the cat someday, but there seems to be no chance in slowing down progress.
