An Epic Pioneering Adventure

I have always loved adventure.  I thought that it would have been great to have been a pioneer and explored the “new world”, blazing trails for all to follow.  In today’s age our planet doesn’t have too much territory to explore that has not already been trampled by many people before.  Space is a whole new ball game though.  The Universe is an infinite space of undiscovered territory waiting for someone to explore, discover and blaze new trails.  It is a vast, open and endless pit of new and exciting area for us to comprehend one piece at a time.
There are so many challenges with the exploration of this universe however.  How astronauts are able to discover and understand what is out there from inside a small tin can of a space shuttle baffles me.  Even still with the multitude of challenges I view the Universe as one big adventure.  A pioneer’s biggest and best dream land.  Places where no one as ever gone before and most people can only dream about.  A place with the most extreme conditions, some areas being so incredibly hot and bright that anything that comes near will burst into flames and everywhere else being dark and freezing cold.  The Universe is an epic pioneering adventure that has no imaginable end.  I can only gaze at the stars and wonder what may be out there.

  1. That's a pretty cool way to look at it. Really, the only difference between the initial exploration of earth and what's beyond it is the technology required! That technology makes it quite a leap in difficulty of course, but the idea remains the same. It's still the same concept of going on an adventure with a result of discovery, knowledge, and potential to claim new areas.

  2. I have to agree with you on this that it would be great to be able to explore the vast unknown and to be able to understand it all. I also cant grasp the idea that astronauts are able to make conclusions and theories about the universe from the inside of their spaceship. I can only hope that one day maybe I will get the chance to better explore this vastness.
