Do We Really Need to be Having Sex in Space?!

Watching the documentary "Sex in Space," I have to say that some of it was a little bit interesting but, the rest of it was kind of disturbing a little bit. Vanna's suit to try to get intimate with her husband in space was a little interesting but, to be honest, I do not think that would have really worked. Like the video said, it has to do with a lot of gravity and micro gravity. Seriously, it does look hard to have sex in a place where you can't really stay in one place for long. If two people were actually able to make that work, then good for them. If that were to happen; then a baby would reproduce then they would have the baby in space. Honestly, do you think that is safe to have a baby in space? Again, like the video said, some problems could occur. Such as; the child have some birth defects and possibly having a hard time breathing. I honestly feel that the space program should be accountable for public opinion because really, everyone has the right to their own opinion on certain issues and situations.

NASA didn't research sex and sexuality because of the program that was funded by tax payers. These taxpayers wanted to know that their dollars are not being used for astronauts frolicking in outer space, having sex escapades at their expense. First of all, I would need to know little bit more information on this. Such as; what would you be studying? How would tests be run? What type of information are you looking for? You know, we could just test and study everything here on Earth rather than spend thousands of dollars to test everything over in space. Wouldn't you agree?

  1. Chelsea, I agree with many of your points. I think that they should be held accountable to public because the public are funding the projects. I also think that more information needs to be presented to determine if this testing is even necessary.
