The first word that comes to mind when I think of the
universe is endless. As of now there is
no way of telling how far space goes. It
is also unfathomable to me that there isn’t life somewhere in that
endlessness. To be honest if it is
endless then there would endless amounts of planets with life on them, we just can’t
see that far. For all we know, we could
be part of a little piece of matter equivalent to what we know as an atom. And that piece of matter could be part of a
cell that makes up a whole other being that we are only a small living part of.
We are
constantly still learning about our universe but if I were asked to describe
the universe as we know it today I could talk about anything from the giant balls
of flaming gas that we call stars to the giant rock that we live on. One could talk about the different planets and
what they are made of. Or how everything
is constantly spinning so amazingly fast and we don’t even feel it. The universe is still filled with unknowns
however. We have hardly scraped the surface of the wealth of endless
information stored in our universe. And yes
our planet will probably be destroyed before we learn much about this endless
space. And just think, it all started
with a big bang. Do we have any idea
what existed before the big bang? It
could have been anything!
Its amazing how much we don't know! I think that it would be quite amazing to be able to explore space and try to discover new and exciting materials, places or life. I think that you are right though, we will all most likely be long gone before we know a fraction about what the universe actually consists of.
