Accountability of Scientific Sex

I think that it is very important to be able to study and do experimental research out in space. In order to advance in technology and gain knowledge about life in space, we must continue our NASA research. With knowing the fact that at any moment Earth can become extinct, we should realize that space exploration and the gain of knowledge of other planets are important. There are advantages to space exploration, including the concepts of sex in space, but with that also comes disadvantages. Since there are unknowns and disadvantages to studying sex in space, we should take into account public opinion. The public funds the NASA program through taxes and the study of sex and reproduction but because of what all ties into that, means that we as tax payers will have to fund a good amount. NASA would have to have enough money to research how to have sex in space, and how to birth a healthy baby. While there are still major developments necessary in order for NASA to discover whether or not reproduction is going to be able to happen in space, these developments will require more finances. These finances come from tax paying citizens. Some citizens don’t feel as though sex is not something that is necessary for space exploration. However, there is only so far in space we can go with current technology. One thing that is potential now is the looking to develop life in space. The video makes the point that at one point in time all the dinosaurs were wiped out. What is to say that the same thing could not happen to humans? I think in a way NASA should be held accountable to public opinion because the public is paying. However, this accountability can only go so far. The science programs need to decide what is needed for discovery. Sometimes the public does not understand why some things are necessary. NASA should make the call as to whether or not sexual relations and reproduction in space is needed for the future of the human race.
