I chose to speak to what I feel is my universe. First, my family is the center of my universe. My family is very close and we spent a lot of time together. My nuclear family consists of my Mom, Dad, and brother. We all live only three miles apart and I wouldn't have it any other way. I married my high school sweetheart 12 years ago and we have two children, 10 year old identical twin boys. My universe revolves around my boys. We do everything together from homework to sporting events. Our boys are amazing and I am so proud of them. My husband is my best friend and we have a great marriage. I have a very tight circle of friends and all of our children are about the same age. I feel like my two best friends are my sisters. We have so much fun when we are together and we hold each other up when someone is having a rough time.
Another huge part of my universe is my job. I am a Registered Nurse and Clinical Supervisor. I have worked at the same job since I graduated nursing school in 2001. I have worked my way up and I appreciate all of the opportunities that my employer has given me. I enjoy rounding with patients and all of the employees on my unit. My job is very important to me and I truly enjoy it. I realize that I am very blessed with a lot of amazing people in my universe.
Very interesting take on the question. Your family is very lucky that you think so fondly of them. Good time of the year to take them on a stargazing adventure.
ReplyDeleteI love how you answered this question. When we think about the Universe as the big, vast thing that it is we can become overwhelmed. It can almost make us feel meaningless when we realize how small we really are. Taking a step back and thinking about it the way you did it makes us feel like we still matter. The Universe could care less about you, but knowing your family is your universe and that they are yours makes it all okay.
