Human Curiosity

Curiosity is what drives humans to discover new things and question the unknown. We would not be where we are today if people didn’t stop and question any new discoveries for an explanation. The quote by Neil de Grasse Tyson couldn’t have been better said because when I run into something I am not familiar with I want to learn as much as I can about whatever piqued my curiosity. I always want to know what I’m dealing with because it makes uneasy when I am not familiar with something. Getting answers from the unknown makes it seem like we as humans are in charge and are prepared for any surprises that may come our way. Like others have mentioned, curiosity is just a part of human nature and that makes us want to venture into the unknown. I believe that people don’t like knowing there is something they don’t know about so that pushes them to question what they run into that they don’t know. The questions that are asked when something is not known will lead to many more discoveries. Humans venturing into the unknown has influenced the development of our civilization greatly. If no one was here to ask questions and look further into the mysteries of this universe, we wouldn’t know as much as we do or have explanations for what have been discovered. Curiosity will shape our development in the future and will be the basis for learning. As long as we continue to question things and be curious, there will be many more developments.
