Craving For The Attention

There are so many facts that can contribute to the reason why humans want to venture out into the unknown. When watching the documentaries “Biggest Things in Space”, “Unexplained Mysteries”, and “Space Travel”, it provided the viewer with questions about the universe. Having so many questions about the universe makes people want to find out as much as they can about it. It’s our human nature that makes us venture out to the unknown. In “Space Travel”, it mentioned how if somewhere would be able to figure out how to make this work efficiently, it would be one of the “greatest human achievements”. People these days tend to crave the attention and love the feeling of accomplishment. I believe that the craving for attention and the love for feeling like they accomplished something important has what helped influence the development of our civilization so far. Competing with people to find the answer to something that so many people are interested and want to know about is what drives people to find information about the Universe, about how to travel through space, and about each and every planet. I believe that these characteristics will continue to impact the future with more technological advancements and help answer so many questions that people have about the Universe. With people trying to one step everyone else, more and more advanced equipment and technology will continue to come out into the world. People want the credit for sharing their knowledge or finding out important and useful information that could be used to prosper our society. With more advancements coming into our world, I believe the development in our future looks prosperous.

  1. I don't agree that people do this just for the credit or the attention. I think that people do things because they are driven by the desire to answer a question. I will give you that some people probably do do things just to be known, but I can't imagine that fame or attention is what everyone is seeking when they set out to answer a question or solve a problem.

  2. I like to think that these discoveries come from so much more than just wanting the recognition for making them. Although some people are guilty of only wanting attention, a lot of great achievements are made because people just genuinely want to learn the unknown and make the world a better place because of it. Many people just have a thirst to learn and find the answers to things that nobody else can explain. It is that thirst for knowledge that drives the world, not the attention they receive for it.
