The Universe is thought to be known as many different words
such as, a mystery, unexplored, unknown, massive, unattainable, and even
unimaginable. After reading the book, Packing
for Mars, my interest and passion for astrology and space grew even more.
The book had offered so much information and knowledge that I had known nothing
about. From how high tech the technology is that is used to explore the
universe to specific protocols and test that must be performed are all
unthinkable. The amount of science, knowledge, time and effort that is put into
making everything run so smoothly is at an extreme high. But no matter how much
information people have gathered, the amount of hours of research that has been
performed, I feel as if the Universe will always be unknown. With all of the
energy people of the space station has put into finding more information about
the Universe, we will never even come close to know one-quarter of what it is
all about. We know so much about the different planets, the stars, the
atmosphere but we will never know everything. The Universe, as we know it, is
and will continue to be one big mystery. Think about how small we, as humans,
are to this Earth and then think about how small this Earth is to the other
planets. How about we think about how small these planets are compared to other
atmospheres. The Universe has so much to offer that is unexplored. There is so
much that could be studied, or we could try to understand. The Universe is one magical, beautiful mystery that brings many questions to all that may never get
answered.
Your right, we wont even skim the surface to finding answers to questions like: are we alone in the universe? At least, not anytime soon for that one I feel like. I personally hope that I'm around when the next big space discovery is made because I feel like most of the secrets on Earth have been found (minus the ocean). Now we need to expand our reach and attain knowledge of our surroundings on a grander scale.
ReplyDeleteMichelle,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your post. You really had some interesting points about the universe. The questions that you asked in your post really got me to thinking about them. Yes, the atmospheres are really big compared to the planets. It really makes you wonder if you are alone in this universe. Are we alone? Do we have anyone else we can share our universes with? You are right, the universe is like one big mystery that will never be solved because we know so little about it. Again, great post Michelle. I really enjoyed it!
